About VIP

As seen on the Dr. Phil Show and The Doctors!  In America, nearly every family is directly or indirectly affected by the disease of addiction and/or mental illness. We at VIP Recovery Services are here to assist you with a distinctive approach to the intervention process, one that is saving lives and helping entire families begin their healing process. This is precisely why Dr. Phil and The Doctors television programs have selected us at VIP to illustrate for their viewing audiences the importance of intervention in cases of addiction. Every intervention entrusted to VIP is handled with   dignity and respect, by Debbie and Brandon Knauss, a mother and son intervention team. Brandon is a former addict and Debbie is the mother who lived through the years of Brandon’s disease, so she understands firsthand how complicated the situation is. In addition, Debbie is a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) and Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). Their unique bond allows Debbie and Brandon to offer what no other intervention specialists can: intimate, direct knowledge of what the patient AND the family are going through.

Making the first phone call is often the most difficult decision. Please call now 1-888-536-7847 or 469-481-2493 or use our Contact Us form.  We have a compassionate, caring person waiting to hear from you.

WHEN ADDICTION HITS HOME

TLC to premiere intervention special CRACKING ADDICTION on Wednesday, October 3rd at 9/8c

[Los Angeles, CA ]-- TLC digs into the dark and destructive world of addiction with the new special CRACKING ADDICTION. The one-hour special goes on the front lines with Debbie and Brandon Knauss, a mother-son intervention team who run a Dallas based family business, Vital Intervention Professionals [V.I.P].

The company launch was inspired by Brandon’s own severe drug addiction and his subsequent out-of-control spiral to rock bottom. Devastated, Brandon’s family turned to Dr. Phil to conduct what would be TV’s first intervention. After jail, rehab and recovery, Brandon applied his knowledge and experience to travel the country with his mother Debbie to bring drug addicts into recovery.  CRACKING ADDICTION follows their journey as they prepare and execute two unpredictable surprise interventions.

The first addict featured on CRACKING ADDICTION is Angelica, a 23-year-old pregnant college dropout who is hooked on heroin.  She and her boyfriend, Mat, are homeless and on the hunt for their next high. Angelica’s family is fearful not only for her life, but for the life of her unborn child. They seek the help of Debbie and Brandon to conduct an intervention and convince Angelica to go to rehab and rid herself of addiction forever.

Meth-addicted Heather is also in urgent need of Debbie and Brandon’s help. A former biology teacher, Heather’s addiction has taken control of her life and cost her the custody of her two children. Her mother, Tonya, enables her, and thus the habit continues. In an effort to end this cycle of dysfunction, Heather’s family, along with the help of Brandon and Debbie, intervene in order to stop her destructive lifestyle and get her on the path to recovery.

Brandon and Debbie work with these self-destructive souls to agree to the help that’s being offered to them, or else risk letting addiction win.

TLC’s CRACKING ADDICTION airs Wednesday, October 3rd at 9/8c and is produced by Ghost Mountain Productions, LLC.  Dr. Phillip McGraw, Jay McGraw and Carla Pennington serve as Executive Producers, along with Eugene Young and Jay Bienstock.
